This month brought some big improvements to help artists and galleries work together more smoothly. We've added Square integration for direct sales, made subscription changes easier, and improved how we handle Instagram promotion.
Square Integration Goes Live
You can now connect your Square account directly to EntryThingy. This means when someone buys your art through Square, it automatically syncs with your EntryThingy portfolio.
Here's what's new:
- One-click Square connection on your Artist Showcase page
- Automatic catalog sync - your accepted call entries push to Square's system
- Real-time sale tracking - when a piece sells, both platforms know instantly
- Dimension details on printable checklists for gallery staff
Try it now: Visit your Artist Showcase page and look for the "Connect via Square" button. Once connected, your call submissions will sync automatically when galleries accept them.
Easier Subscription Changes
No more jumping between platforms to upgrade or downgrade your plan. Stripe subscribers can now change their artwork management tier right inside EntryThingy.
The new system handles:
- Immediate upgrades with prorated billing
- Downgrades that take effect at your next billing cycle
- Clear pricing previews before you confirm changes
Take action: Check your account settings to see the new subscription management options. Upgrading is now just two clicks away.
Better Instagram Promotion
Galleries can now tag your Instagram handle when they promote your work. We've also improved how collaborative posts work and added support for custom first comments on promotional posts.
New Instagram features include:
- Automatic artist tagging when galleries share your work
- Custom gallery handles for each platform
- Improved collaboration between artist and gallery accounts
Get ready: Make sure your Instagram handle is updated in your profile so galleries can tag you properly when they share your work.
Smoother Payment Experience
We fixed several payment bugs that were causing headaches:
- Coupon codes now work properly on all call submission forms
- Entry fee calculations are more accurate
- Balance warnings show up when they should
What to do: If you've had trouble with coupons or payments recently, try again. The issues should be resolved.
These updates make EntryThingy work better for your art business. The Square integration alone will save galleries hours of manual work, and the subscription changes give you more control over your account.
