We've been busy making EntryThingy work better for you. This week brought clearer upload requirements, better error messages, and smoother application flows. Here's what changed.
Clearer Upload Requirements
We know file requirements can be confusing. Now you'll see exactly what pixel dimensions are needed before you upload.
What's new:
- Pixel requirements (like "minimum 1200x800 pixels") now show up right on the upload page
- File size minimums can now be set to decimal values (like 0.5 MB instead of just whole numbers)
- Your browser will catch file size issues before you even submit
Try it: Next time you apply to a call, look for the pixel requirements near the upload area. No more guessing if your image is the right size.
Better Forms and Clearer Requirements
Forms should tell you what went wrong, not leave you wondering. We fixed several spots where error messages were unclear or missing.
What's improved:
- Required fields now have bigger, more visible asterisks - you won't miss them
- Login errors give you specific help instead of generic messages
- Contact form errors show up properly instead of failing silently
- Application checklists are now grouped by step, so you know what comes next
Try it: Look for the larger red asterisks on required fields. If you run into login trouble, the error message will actually help you fix it.
Smoother Post-Submission Experience
After you submit an application, we want you to feel confident about what happens next.
What's new:
- "Edit Application" and "Review Application" buttons are much bigger and easier to find
- Your notification preferences now show up on the confirmation page
- Quick Apply suggestions are back (they disappeared for a bit - our bad!)
- Progress tracking now says "Your Profile Progress" instead of the confusing "EntryThingy Progress"
Try it: Submit an application and notice how much easier it is to find the edit button. Check out your preferences right there on the confirmation page.
Account Management Made Simple
We added a few quality-of-life improvements for managing your account.
What's new:
- You can now delete your account from your profile settings if needed
- Better error handling for password resets
- Jury search now clears properly when you're done filtering
Try it: Check your profile settings to see the new account options. If you're a juror, try the improved search functionality.
