Better Filtering, Better Results
Finding the right opportunities just got a lot easier. We've completely redesigned how filters work on the calls list.
New filter options include:
- Filter by state to find local opportunities
- Filter by medium (painting, sculpture, photography, etc.)
- Multi-select source filtering - pick multiple sources at once
- Sort options to organize results your way
The best part? You can now combine filters. Want to see all sculpture opportunities in California from multiple sources? Just check the boxes and watch the results update instantly.

Smarter Recommendations When Calls Close
Nothing's more frustrating than finding a perfect opportunity only to discover the deadline has passed. We fixed that.
Now when you click on a closed call, you'll see a helpful modal showing similar opportunities that are still open. Same medium, similar themes, active deadlines.
What this means for you: Less time hunting for alternatives when your first choice isn't available anymore.
Expanded Opportunity Discovery
We've added support for finding opportunities from many more sources. Our system now automatically discovers and adds new calls from art organizations across the web.
This means more opportunities in your feed without you having to hunt them down on individual websites. We're talking about calls from galleries, art centers, and organizations you might never have found otherwise.
The result: Your opportunity feed keeps growing with relevant calls, even from smaller organizations.
Small Changes, Big Impact
We also made the "Include past calls" checkbox actually work (oops), cleaned up duplicate filter options, and made sure all the technical stuff behind the scenes runs smoother.
Plus, we added an FAQ right on the calls list page reminding everyone that EntryThingy is completely free to use. Because it is, and always will be.
