What Happened

EntryThingy experienced a service outage on the evening of February 12, 2026. Our database had a connection error after a code change, which unintentionally caused the site to become inaccessible.

Impact

  • Outage window: Approximately 4:50 PM – 6:41 PM PST (Feb 12). We believe this could have started as late as 5:30 PM PST, but 4:50pm would be the earliest.

  • Impact: Site was unavailable during this period; users could not log in or access their data and were getting 404 errors

  • Data: We restored our database. Activity during the outage window (roughly 1–2 hours) may have been lost. If you submitted an entry or made changes during that window and something is missing, please either re-upload or contact support.

Resolution

We restored the database connection and service was fully restored by 6:41 PM PST. We are implementing additional safeguards to prevent this from happening again.
