One Week Until the New EntryThingy Goes Live

You may have read our blog post last week about the new version of EntryThingy. Well, it's coming out in a week! We are so excited for it. This is just the beginning of our long-term investment in EntryThingy to make it the best platform for galleries and artists. Here's a quick Q&A so you know what to expect!

Why are you releasing a new product?

We are fixing things that are broken, updating the interface, and improving the ease of use and reliability. You can read more in this blog post.

Can I see the new version right now?

Absolutely! If you go to beta.entrythingy.com, you can login with your normal username and password and see a temporary replica of your data. Changes made here before November 4 will not affect your real gallery or users.

So what's going to happen?

Starting on November 4, the main EntryThingy login will change. In other words, our beta will become live and in production. The current EntryThingy will be "the old one" and the beta will be "the new one."

Can I still use the "old one" after November 4? I like it and I am used to it.

Yes you can use the "old one" -- but -- our preference would be you use the "new one"! We will be building new features and taking your feedback about how to make it better. The old one will stay available until at least the end of 2025, if you need it. The old one will be available on the lower portion of the login screen.

After November 4, if I login to the "new one" will it make changes in the "old one" and vice versa?

Yes. Beginning November 4, the "old interface" and "new interface" will be connected to all the same data.

Will my features like the downloader, emailer, and jury wall still work in the "new one"?

Yes! We have re-designed these to work even better than the prior version. Hopefully you like the improvements! You can always test it out between now and November 4 at beta.entrythingy.com.

Will our old gallery widgets or application widgets still work?

Yes! No changes should be needed for your website code.

Will you be available if I need you?

Absolutely. We have multiple people actively monitoring our support desk full time. hello@entrythingy.com is the best way to reach us.
