people or nonaffiliated companies except under the following circumstances:
1. You apply to a call for artists. Your profile information and entry data and images will be shared with the art organization hosting the call.
2. We are legally required to do so.
3. We are acquired by another company.
4. We believe it is necessary to share information in order
to prevent, investigate or take action regarding illegal activities,
suspected fraud or situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person.
Your Access to and Control Over Information
You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the
email address provided on our website:
- See what data we have about you, if any.
- Change/correct any data we have about you.
- Have us delete any data we have about you.
- Express any concern you have about our use of your data.
User accounts are automatically deleted after a time of non-use. Entries are deleted when the organization hosting a call deletes a call.
Security
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
Wherever we collect sensitive information, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline.
Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (e.g, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
How we process data
- Client / browser side: We use Javascript to display forms and information, send and receive data from our servers.
- Client server communication: All data is ecrypted using SSL
- Servers: We use secure AWS EC2 instances running Java to communicate with client software and MYSQL databases.
- We store local backups of data encrypted on drives using Microsoft BitLocker
Registration
In order to use our service, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration a user is required to give certain information (such as name and email address).
This information is used by the organizations hosting the calls you apply to to contact you about your entries. We also send a confirmation email to you after you apply to a call - you can opt out of those emails at any time.
Cookies
Our service uses "cookies". A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor's hard drive. We use it to remember your login status, ie whether you are logged in and which data you have access to.
